Lazy Nezumi stroke smoothing for Photoshop. by Rahll, journal
Lazy Nezumi stroke smoothing for Photoshop.
Hey everyone, just wanted to bring to your attention a plugin that might be useful for you. It's called Lazy Nezumi, and its main function is to help smooth your strokes out when you're drawing. So, if you want really tight, smooth lineart, or just clean lines in general it's pretty great. In a way, it lets you create a digital stroke closer to how you would on paper or a canvas, it just gives you more control. It's akin to the Lazy Mouse feature in Zbrush, or the Steady Stroke feature in Sketchbook Pro (which I'd highly recommend for anyone doing lineart, it has other great features as well).

Download my brushset and learn brush grouping
Hey everyone, I just put up a new video showing a simple, yet super handy way to categorize and group your brushes in Photoshop. It's especially useful if you have a really big set like me, it makes it really easy to find what you need so you don't have to hunt around constantly. I've also provided a download link to my current set of brushes with the video.
Hope you find the video and brushes useful! I'll upload my set here to deviantART at a later date, so in the mean time, if you wanna grab them, hit the video :)
Fast and easy way to create a reference sheet... by Rahll, journal
Fast and easy way to create a reference sheet...
Just the other day, I discovered a super quick and easy way to create reference sheets for digital painting. So, instead of having a ton of documents open all at once, slowing down your Photoshop, or spending a half hour to create your own sheet, you can use Picasa to create one for you in just seconds.
Below is a video I made to show you how. There are some other tips in there as well, so take a look if you're interested!
Take care!

Cool Mixer Brush Technique in PS
I learned a cool technique for the mixer brush from Mathias Verhasselt, a senior cinematic artist at Blizzard. It's great for adding detail really quickly, or speeding up your workflow with certain tasks, so I made this video to show you some ways you might be able to use it. Enjoy!
